| Abstract | The purpose of The Dementia Smarthouse is to help improve the performance of people struggling with dementia daily lives. This outstanding system helps by reminding them; to eat, shower, reminds them of appointments, birthdays and to take their medication. It notifies family members in case of an emergency such as the refrigerator door being left open from a sensor going off. This innovation is very crucial to people with dementia because every day these people are faced with many difficulties and it’s important to make their lives as easy as possible. The main components of this system are the sensors for the refrigerator, stove, entrance doors and the app that notifies family members in case of an emergency. This app also has another important feature which is a family tree that reminds the person with dementia who their family members are along with their contact information. |
