Abstract | Many types of animals, including invertebrates (such as flatworms), are capable of learning and memory. Cognitive abilities in humans may be affected by the age of the individual; in this study, through the use of a T-maze, the learning capabilities of “old” and “young” brown planaria (Dugesia tigrina) were compared to investigate whether there is a similar effect in these basic invertebrates. |
