Abstract | Due to their compatible biological properties, fast-setting time, and degradability, calcium phosphate cements serve as potential bone-replacing material for acrylic bone cements, typically consisting of PMMA which risk releasing toxic residual monomers and non-degradable particles. A bone cement solution consisting of ceramic materials tricalcium phosphate and monocalcium phosphate was developed and the properties tested. |
