Abstract This project aims to develop a low-cost, biodegradable sodium alginate-chitosan hydrogel burn wound dressing with pH-sensitive infection detection. This hydrogel enhances burn care by maintaining moisture, preventing infections, and providing real-time pH-based color changes. It offers an accessible and practical solution for under-resourced communities by enabling early intervention and reducing infection-related complications.
