Abstract My project simulates asteroid deflection using physics and reinforcement learning (RL). The RL agent selects an optimal initial velocity (delta-v) for a spacecraft to alter an asteroid’s trajectory. The simulation, built with Pygame, models gravitational interactions with the Sun, planets, and the asteroid, evaluating collision risks and mission success. This research explores AI-driven solutions for planetary defense.
