Abstract The purpose of the project is to explore the properties of auditory distractors and visual distractors to see which one is the most disruptive to attention control and allocation in externally valid settings, such as educational or industrial. External validity is a main emphasis of this experiment as many past experiments on attention did not address the respective area of approach. Results from this experiment can be used to improve all current settings that involve attention allocation.
