I have been involved with BASEF for the last four years (3) years in a row and all of these projects have been related to understanding the steel making process, carbon footprint of the Hamilton made Steel, innovation in iron making processes like using plastic, and how the steel industry can solve the problem of plastic waste pollution.
This year, my BASEF project is 'Using Hydrogen to decarbonize Steel Production' and understand how it can lower CO2 emissions and therefore a significant driver of climate change. My project will focus on decarbonizing iron and steel production processes, using hydrogen as an alternative to fossil coal. |
