Lots of big automotive companies including Tesla, and Ford, are all working on self driving cars and cars that stop when they get too close to something; some have already done it, others are still working on it. Tesla has even made their cars remote controllable! So I decided to try to make a collision avoidance system for my raspberry pi robot that would gradually slow down as it got closer to walls, and stop when it got a little too close because my robot used to LOVE crashing into walls. Now with the help of my program, my robot will never hit a wall again (at least not while its going forward).
