Abstract The purpose of my project is to measure skin resistance changes (Galvanic Skin Response) when a person lies with a homemade polygraph. Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) is a change in skin conductivity caused by stress, such as lying. Every time you lie, your skin’s resistance will change and become higher. Fingertips have a high density of sweat glands and are very porous, as a result when a person is stressed, sweat is released and GSR can be measured.
