Abstract This project delves into the decomposition rate of different biodegradable plastics broken down in two composting systems. Both store-bought biodegradable plastics and homemade bioplastics were tested to see which one decomposes the best. The goal was to find out if biodegradable plastics really work as good as advertised and which materials are the most eco-friendly. With the conclusion, the final plastics that decomposed the most efficiently were used to innovate a final product using the plastic.
