Abstract The purpose of the project, A Walk Through Life: A Patient’s Journey, was to determine how targeted vibration therapy can be used in settings of biomedical engineering, to repair damaged joints through the stimulation of nerves, development of bone structure through osteoblasts, influence of fluid production, and the contraction of muscles experiencing tension, thus providing a means of therapeutic treatment during patient recovery periods following a significant injury or surgery (knee arthroplasty, knee arthroscopy) and giving patients a sense of independence in moving and living alike.
