Abstract My project explores the relationship between music and emotions. Building upon prior studies that use subjective experience to classify songs by emotions, I investigated whether numerical attributes (danceability, tempo…) could reliably classify songs. I then explored the top songs from different eras and how emotional categories (joy, sadness…) changed over time, offering a robust framework for understanding the emotional impact of music across different eras.
