Abstract |
The Yellowstone project began in 1997 when the USA decided to take wolf populations into their own hands. Before this wolves were considered a threat, and so they were hunted nearly to extinction. Now, the Yellowstone wolf packs (including the well known Druid Peak pack) thrive, but they may not be like this in other areas. So, by using the data from three wolf habitats (Isle Royale, Algonquin Park, and Yellowstone) I will try to find out what makes a stable population so that if necessary we can find the next area to place wolves and stabilize or grow the population. |
