Abstract The purpose of this project was to determine if the colour of a beverage affects the perception of taste. Each participant was given three beverages: one clear beverage, one red beverage and one blue beverage. The three beverages were actually the same white cranberry juice, with the red and blue drinks coloured with food colouring. The participants were asked to decide which one they preferred.
