Abstract Our project shows how people perceive the severity of minor issues based on their exposure to major issues. For example, if someone never truly experiences major issues, do they start to catastrophize their small problems? Why would this happen? One of the many reasons for this is the anchoring effect, as well as the Blue Dot Effect - a part of Concept Creep.
