Abstract The purpose of my project was to investigate the level of fat adsorption between three different forms of microcrystalline cellulose by manipulating different variables and ultimately determine if a certain form allowed for the greatest adsorption. Fat absorption onto the cellulose forms was able to be justified using Fluorescence microscopy. Cellulose-based drugs could potentially be used to reduce harmful fat absorption in humans.
