CWSF Junior Medal Winners

The Canada-Wide Science Fair, held this year in Charlottetown, PEI, gave the opportunity for 15 BASEF projects to compete on the national stage.  The Team had an excellent showing, and brought home 10 medals and 2 special awards!

Silver Medal Winners:

Actuarial Award: Alexander Rey, More than Just Brushing (Brantford Collegiate Institute and Vocational School, Brantford)

The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, held this year in Pittsburgh, PA, saw four BASEF students compete as part of "Team Canada" - Eisha Ahmed (Abbey Park, Oakville), Camilla Michalski (Bishop Ryan, Hamilton), Majot Sangha (Iroquois Ridge, Oakville) and Dennis Xu (Abbey Park, Oakville).

While the International Fair BASEF team had no individual medal results this year, they were part of a successful Team Canada showing that included 14 Grand Awards... including one of the three "Best in Fair" awards, to Nicholas Schieffer of Pickering.
